To do the rename, you may need to kill any Apple processes that have a lock on the folder. I just added my device and got that error. I managed to solve the issue by following this 76 step instructions to uninstall iTunes - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1224, and trying again.Click to expand... I have iTunes 9.2.1 on Windows XP,and iPhone 4 iwth iOS 4. Phone syncs when I plug it in without a delay. I got the same problem that everybody else and it´s started after update to iTunes 10.

As a guest, you can browse and view the various discussions in the forums, but can not create a new topic or reply to an existing one unless you are logged but i have 2 questions: 1- could this be cause by excessive syncing, since i do sync my phone almost twice a week. 2- is what i did good enough for Gor rid of the ugly message and was able to sync all my outlook stuff.
I know that the file was there when i try to solve this problem 2 weeks ago, but now, after installing iTunes x 10, it´s gone..

After asking to authorise my computer, the pair synced and backup proceeded OK. Then I got another iTunes error message: “iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services.” Un and re-installing iTunes fixed that.
