  • says December 9, 2011 at 2:33 pm Bill Payne's suggestion worked like a charm for me AFTER I first closed/stopped (in Task Manager, under "Processes") the "syncserver.exe" file.
  • It said it was starting to sync, but it locked up.
  • It used to automatically pop up first and now nothing.

right before the 2.0 update.. i tried it a few times and it was fine. BTW, for anyone with this problem that is hesitant to delete and re-install iTunes, the method I used (see link) preserved everything, ie. Stuck in a loop.
