  3. For vista: Click start > type in search bar: cmd > right click on cmd at the top of the results > click run as administrator > then try running your
  4. IE11 still just flashes, then closes.
  5. If you find a service conflicting with IE and not using it, remove it or configure settings so that it doesn't start when the computer is turned on.
