I can't link the object as I am going to sent this to people who do not have access to the documents. Here, I had changed my document file extension to .doc (old style Word) and not to .docx as I had previously saved them. Now my computer can't open any of them anymore. Try downloading or having that Word file sent to you again and if it still won't open then the source file is corrupt as well in which case the creating party check my blog I solved the problem inspired by the other answers above by uninstaling other programs that could interfere, so I uninstalled my antivirus, Nod32 v4 or something like that, and it worked.

For some reason if you have previously saved in .docx, then decide to change to .doc then you wont be able to open any of your old saves! If you know what types of files are embedded in the file, you can probably deduce which file is which by the size of the file. The recipient doesn't have Foxit PhantomPDF, so the error occurs.
